Crows Soar High with Soligo`s Stellar Performance

Adelaide`s Jake Soligo shines in a strong win, while Brisbane and Sydney show promising signs for the upcoming AFL season.

Adelaide showcased their potential for the 2025 AFL season with a commanding 44-point victory over Port Adelaide. Jake Soligo was a standout in midfield, contributing three goals to the Crows` impressive forward line, which also saw Riley Thilthorpe, Taylor Walker, and Daniel Curtin find the scoreboard.

Brisbane displayed resilience in the absence of Joe Daniher, with small forwards Zac Bailey, Cam Rayner, Charlie Cameron, and draftee Ty Gallop making significant impacts. Collingwood`s Nick Daicos eased injury concerns with a dominant display, while new recruit Harry Perryman took on a key midfield role.

Gold Coast excelled in a triple-header, defeating both Brisbane and Collingwood, with young talents Jed Walter and Bailey Humphrey shining. Sydney delivered a slick performance, overpowering GWS by 51 points, led by Errol Gulden and Isaac Heeney in midfield, while Joel Amartey and Braeden Campbell wreaked havoc up front.

The AFL 2025 Premiership season kicks off on March 8th, with Gold Coast hosting Essendon at People First Stadium, followed by GWS facing Collingwood on March 9th at Engie Stadium. New recruit Alex Neal-Bullen joins Adelaide`s leadership group, while Hawthorn captain James Sicily anticipates a shift to a forward role under coach Sam Mitchell.
