Subiaco`s Petrevski Leads WAFLW Round 1 Team of the Week

Subiaco`s Krstel Petrevski captains the WAFLW Round 1 Team of the Week, showcasing outstanding performances.

Subiaco`s Krstel Petrevski has been named captain of the Round 1 Team of the Week in the Women’s Australian Football League (WAFLW) following an impressive performance. Petrevski recorded 29 disposals, five inside 50s, and nine tackles, showcasing her skills on the field. Alongside her, Olivia Wolmarans was appointed vice-captain, contributing significantly with 4.1 from 18 disposals and seven marks.

The Team of the Week features standout players from various clubs, with Subiaco, Swan Districts, South Fremantle, and East Perth each having four representatives. Notable performances include Peel Thunder`s Chloe Wrigley, who achieved a league-high 32 disposals, and Holly Britton from Perth, who excelled against her former team.

The defensive lineup includes Hunter Cronin and Marie Polimeno from South Fremantle, while Emily Bennett and Madison Dodd represent West Perth. East Fremantle`s Alicia Blizard made her mark by scoring four goals.

In addition to the WAFLW action, Western Australia is gearing up for the 2025 Marsh AFL National Development Championships – U16 Girls, commencing this weekend. WA will compete in Pool A against teams like Victoria Metro and South Australia, promising an exciting showcase of young talent in Australian football.
