Justin Verlander has signed a one-year contract worth $15 million with the San Francisco Giants, pending a physical examination. His postseason experience is notable as well, with a 17-12 record and a 3.58 ERA in 38 appearances.

The New York Mets have invested heavily in free agency, while the Toronto Blue Jays are exploring options to fill gaps in their lineup. The Giants are also eyeing Japanese ace Roki Sasaki, who will be eligible to sign when the international signing period opens on January 15.
