Verlander Joins Giants on One-Year Deal

Justin Verlander has signed a one-year contract worth $15 million with the San Francisco Giants, pending a physical examination. With a career record of 262-147 and a 3.30 ERA across 526 starts, he leads all active players in wins, strikeouts, innings pitched, and complete games. His postseason experience is notable as well, with a 17-12 record and a 3.58 ERA in 38 appearances.

As the offseason progresses, other teams are also making significant moves. The New York Mets have invested heavily in free agency, while the Toronto Blue Jays are exploring options to fill gaps in their lineup. The Giants are also eyeing Japanese ace Roki Sasaki, who will be eligible to sign when the international signing period opens on January 15.
