Netherlands secure historic Olympic hockey double

In the Olympic women's hockey final, the Netherlands defeated China on penalties after overcoming a serious scare.

The Netherlands were the clear favorites after destroying China 3-0 in the group rounds, but Yibbi Jansen's drag flick pulled one back for the Dutch after nine minutes.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, and the reigning European and world champions won the penalty shootout 3-1 thanks to three saves from Dutch goalkeeper Anne Veenendaal.
