Mustafa Yilmaz`s perfect score at the Biel Chess Festival secures him a commanding victory, showcasing his chess prowess.

In a stunning display of skill and strategy, GM Mustafa Yilmaz from Turkey achieved a flawless score of 7/7, clinching the title at the Biel Chess Festival Swiss Rapid Chess960 Championship. Yilmaz finished a full point ahead of the competition, showcasing his dominance in the tournament. Following him, IM Banh Gia Huy from Vietnam secured second place with an impressive 6/7, while GM Karthikeyan Murali and Junchen He from China both scored 5.5/7, with Karthikeyan taking third due to superior tie-break scores.

The tournament featured a total prize fund of CHF 500, with the top three finishers earning CHF 250, 150, and 100 respectively. Meanwhile, GM Radoslaw Wojtaszek from Poland triumphed in the Accentus Chess 960 GMT Masters, and GM Rinat Jumabayev from Kazakhstan won the Challengers, both finishing with a score of 4.5/7.

In the Dutch Chess Championship, Jorden van Foreest executed a brilliant bishop sacrifice on h7 to defeat Loek van Wely, securing his second national title. His sister, Machteld van Foreest, also celebrated victory, defeating Robin Duson in a tiebreak to claim her second championship title as well.
