Kogi State Sports Ministry Set Up Committee For Kogi United and Confluence Queens

 

 

The Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Idris Musa today met with the Management Staff of the Ministry and that of the Sports Council including the Board Chairman to discuss the way forward of the State owned Football teams, Confluence Queens FC and Kogi United FC.

 

Idris Musa commended the effort of the interim management since the dissolution of the formal Management Staff of the Clubs.

 

The Commissioner further Constituted a Nine (9) Man Committee members that will come up with a comprehensive report on how the teams can be managed and also to suggest possible best way forward of the two Clubs to the Government.

 

The  Committee comprises of the following Members:

 

1. Abdulmalik lsa Dolly( Board Chairman) - Chairman.

 

2. Mr Sunday Daku (Dir. Of Sports) - member

 

3. Mr Sunday Umoru (Dir. Facility) - member

 

4. Mr David Ogazuma (D.Dir. Sports Development) - member.

 

5. Mr Onipe Obakachi (Head of Coaching and Training) - member.

 

6.Mallam Umorru lsah( FA Chairman)- member.

 

7. Victoria Tafu(PRO) - member.

 

8. Kareem Usman (SA Sports to the Hon. Comm.) - member.

 

9. Mallam lsah Salau (Council Sec.) - Secretary.

 

The Committee is expected to come up with their reports within one week starting from the day of their inauguration.

 

The Commissioner also handed over the Asset and Liabilities of the formal Management to the Committee Chairman for proper documentation.

 

Present at the inauguration are the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry,Mr Slyvanus Akpama, Director Admin and Finance,Mrs Funmilayo Bello, Director Accounts,Mrs Michael Orenibi.
