FIFA To Include Futsal and Beach Soccer In Olympic


FIFA said it was hoping to add futsal and beach soccer as disciplines within the sport of football. A discipline is a branch of an Olympic sport that features one or more events. For example, the sport of cycling is broken up into four disciplines: road, track, mountain, and BMX.

On Thursday (3rd), FIFA announced during a meeting of its council that it will request the inclusion of both sports in the Olympic sports program from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
