Alvarez absolutely CRUSHES 1st walk-off hit

The Mets are still in the National League Wild Card race, and the next 11 days could determine if they play October baseball as they face contenders in the Orioles, Padres and D-backs.

Baltimore was first up on Monday night at Citi Field, and the Mets walked it off in a 4-3 victory. Facing Seranthony DomĆnguez in the ninth inning, Francisco Alvarez swung at a 3-0 pitch and hit a home run over the left-field wall for the game-winner.

And it was a bomb.

Alvarez knew it, looking at his teammates as he headed towards first base on the first walk-off hit of his career.
