Baltimore was first up on Monday night at Citi Field, and the Mets walked it off in a 4-3 victory. Facing Seranthony DomĆnguez in the ninth inning, Francisco Alvarez swung at a 3-0 pitch and hit a home run over the left-field wall for the game-winner.
And it was a bomb.
Alvarez knew it, looking at his teammates as he headed towards first base on the first walk-off hit of his career.
