LeBron James Signs $104M Deal to Play with his Son

LeBron James has signed a new two-year, $104 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, including a no-trade clause.
This contract could see James play until he's 41, making him the first NBA player to surpass $500 million in career on-court earnings. James’ agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, negotiated a slightly reduced salary to maintain the Lakers' roster flexibility.
In a historic move, the Lakers drafted Bronny James, LeBron’s oldest son, creating the potential for the NBA's first father-son duo on the court. Despite turning 39, James played 71 games last season, surpassing 40,000 career points and leading the Lakers to the playoffs. Though they were inconsistent, finishing 47-35, they rallied to secure the No. 7 seed in the West.
James will tie Vince Carter for the most NBA seasons played, with his 22nd season ahead. Last year, he averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists, achieving the highest scoring average ever for the league’s oldest active player.
LeBron's illustrious career includes four NBA titles, 20 All-Star selections, and numerous records, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest players in NBA history.
