Tsunoda fined for offensive comment in GP

Yuki Tsunoda, a driver from Japan, was fined 40,000 euros (£33,90 for making a derogatory remark against a competitor during the Austrian Grand Prix qualifying process.

The 24-year-old RB driver was hauled before race stewards after using a derogatory language and a slur against disabled persons towards Sauber's Zhou Guanyu over the team radio.

Tsunoda told them he was "horrified" to learn what the term meant because English was not his first language and that he thought he was being blocked in the pit lane.
