No offences over Hamilton sabotage email - police

The Mercedes Formula 1 team has been informed by the police that the sender of an email claiming Lewis Hamilton's car had been "sabotaged" had not broken any laws.

After the anonymous email was forwarded to him, a number of high-ranking F1 officials, and members of the press, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff forwarded it to the police.

"Northamptonshire Police received a report on June 12th regarding an email that had been circulated within the Mercedes AMG F1 Team," a spokesman for the department stated.
