Hungary's Varga allowed home from hospital

Forward Barnabas Varga of Hungary says he would take "a few weeks of rest" after being released from the hospital to heal from a major injury he sustained during Euro 2024.

During last Sunday's Group A play in Stuttgart, the 29-year-old striker for Ferencvaros collided with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn, breaking his cheekbone.

Varga was freed on Wednesday after a successful surgery at a hospital in the German city.
