Spain edges past England 2-1 to win the Euros

Gareth Southgate's squad lost in its second straight final as Spain defeated England 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday, earning a record-tying fourth European title in the process. The winning goal came from substitute Mikel Oyarzabal four minutes from time.



Spain became victorious from the competition, having won all seven of its matches, thanks to a quick counterattack between Oyarzabal and Marc Cucurella that produced the game-winning goal.
