England captain Williamson extends Arsenal stay

Leah Williamson, the captain of England, has agreed to a new multi-year contract with Arsenal in the Women's Super League.

The 27-year-old defender has made 232 appearances for the Gunners since 2014, the entirety of her professional career; the length of the contract has not been disclosed.

In addition to winning the WSL and two FA Cups with Arsenal, Williamson led the Lionesses to success at Euro 2022.
