Canberra Raiders opened the 2025 NRL season with a commanding 30-8 victory over the New Zealand Warriors at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Raiders showcased their strength, setting a positive tone for the season ahead.

In a stunning display, the Brisbane Broncos overwhelmed the Sydney Roosters with a score of 50-14, highlighted by Selwyn Cobbo`s remarkable three-try performance. The Broncos` offensive prowess was on full display, leaving the Roosters struggling to keep pace.

The Wests Tigers faced a narrow defeat against the Newcastle Knights, ending the match at 8-10. Despite their efforts, the Tigers couldn`t secure a win in a tightly contested battle.

Melbourne Storm delivered an electrifying performance against the Parramatta Eels, winning decisively 56-18. Ryan Papenhuyzen starred with two tries, while Nick Meaney converted seven out of nine attempts, contributing significantly to the Storm`s dominant first half, where they scored eight tries. Currently, the NRL ladder sees the Raiders and Panthers at the top with one win each. The Storm will enjoy a bye next week, while the Eels prepare to host the Wests Tigers.
