Shi Yuqi, the top seed from China, showcased his resilience in the men’s singles semi-finals of the All England Open 2025. In a gripping match against compatriot Li Shi Feng, Shi secured his place in the final with a scoreline of 21-9, 20-22, 21-19, marking a thrilling comeback after dropping the second game. His victory sets up a highly anticipated final against Lee Chia-Hao from Chinese Taipei, who overcame France`s Alex Lanier with a score of 19-21, 21-14, 21-17.

The match between Shi and Li was a testament to high-quality badminton, with both players pushing each other to their limits. In the mixed doubles semi-finals, Chinese pairs Guo Xin Wa and Chen Fang Hui, along with Feng Yan Zhe and Wei Ya Xin, advanced to the finals, showcasing the depth of talent in the tournament. Meanwhile, the women’s doubles semi-finals saw the Japanese duo Matsuyama Nami and Shida Chiharu defeat the Chinese pair Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning.
