Roddick expressed his frustration over a controversial fault call related to the non-volley zone, known as the "Kitchen," but Agassi maintained his dominance throughout the match.

The event also featured an exciting doubles match where Team Agassi, consisting of Agassi, Steffi Graf, and Mardy Fish, faced off against Team Roddick, which included Roddick, Eugenie Bouchard, and John Isner. The match culminated in a tense single-frame tiebreaker, with Agassi and Fish ultimately securing victory for Team Agassi.
