India has made history at the Kho Kho World Cup 2025 held in New Delhi, clinching the championship titles for both the men`s and women`s teams. International teams from the United States, England, and Australia participated, with a significant representation of expatriate Indians. The transition of kho kho from outdoor grassy fields to indoor mats has significantly boosted its profile, making it the third most-watched non-cricket sports tournament in India, following the Pro Kabaddi League and the Indian Super League football competition.
