The match was highlighted by a stellar performance from New Zealand international Finn Allen, who scored a brilliant 50 off just 23 balls. This half century, which included three maximums, was crucial in powering the Scorchers to their win.

The Adelaide Strikers had a tumultuous innings, finding themselves at 8-58 before a record-breaking ninth-wicket partnership between Brendan Doggett and Cameron Boyce. Doggett and Boyce put on an impressive 84-run partnership off 60 balls, taking the Strikers' total to 8-142.
