The University of North Carolina (UNC) Tar Heels, despite a recent loss, have moved closer to being ranked in the latest AP Top 25 Poll. After losing to the No. 6 Florida Gators 90-84 at the Jumpman Invitational, the Tar Heels bounced back with a crucial 76-74 win over the No. 22 UCLA Bruins at the CBS Sports Classic in New York City's Madison Square Garden.

UNC's performance has garnered them more voting points, increasing from 9 last week to 20 this week, placing them 12th among unranked teams. This improvement indicates the team's growing strength and competitiveness.

In the ACC, the Duke Blue Devils, under Coach Jon Scheyer, remain the only ranked team, sitting at No. 4 with a six-game winning streak. Other ACC teams receiving votes include the Pitt Panthers and Clemson Tigers.
