Florida Gators Surge to No. 7 in AP Top 25

The college basketball landscape saw significant shifts in the latest rankings and game results. The Florida Gators, under head coach Todd Golden, have made a remarkable start to the season, moving up to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 and No. 6 in the Coaches Poll. This rise is fueled by their dominant performance, marking the first time in nearly two decades that the Gators have started the season 10-0, with each win coming by double digits.

In their latest outing, Florida trounced Arizona State 83-66 at the 2024 Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta. This victory highlights the team's strong form, with players like Walter Clayton Jr. contributing significantly, including making five 3-pointers in the game against Arizona State.

Tennessee remains at the top of the rankings with a perfect 10-0 record, followed closely by Auburn and Iowa State. Other notable teams include Kentucky, Duke, and Alabama, all of whom are performing strongly in the early stages of the season.
