The Uganda Women’s cricket team delivered a masterclass performance, overpowering Brazil Women by seven wickets in the 17th match of the Kwibuka Women’s T20I Tournament 2025. The match unfolded at the picturesque Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda, where Uganda showcased their prowess on the field.

Brazil Women, batting first, struggled to find their rhythm, managing a mere 80 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Roberta Moretti Avery emerged as the lone warrior for Brazil, scoring 23 runs off 36 balls, but her efforts were overshadowed by a relentless Ugandan bowling attack. Captain Janet Mbabazi was the standout bowler, claiming an impressive four wickets in just four overs while conceding only 16 runs, leaving Brazil reeling.

In response, Uganda Women chased down the target with ease, reaching 81 runs in just 12.1 overs and losing only three wickets. Immaculate Nakisuuyi shone brightly, remaining unbeaten on 34 runs off 27 deliveries, which included six exquisite boundaries. Her performance was instrumental in steering Uganda to a decisive victory, further solidifying their status in the tournament.
