Navy men`s lacrosse kicked off their Patriot League schedule with a commanding 13-9 victory against 20 Boston University. The Midshipmen surged to an impressive 11-1 lead early in the game, showcasing their offensive prowess. Jack Flaherty was the standout performer, notching a career-high six points with three goals and three assists, leading his team to a crucial win.
Meanwhile, Army West Point men’s lacrosse continued their unbeaten streak, improving to 5-0 after a decisive 15-5 win over Lafayette in their Patriot League opener. Gunnar Fellows and Brayden Fountain each contributed significantly, scoring four goals apiece, demonstrating Army`s offensive depth and strategic execution.
In a notable achievement, the Bates men’s lacrosse team celebrated their first NESCAC victory in nearly three years, defeating Hamilton 14-8. Sophomore Riley McClure was instrumental in this triumph, scoring three goals and helping to lift the team’s spirits.
On the women`s side, the La Salle lacrosse team faced a challenging match against Le Moyne, ultimately falling 9-5 in snowy conditions. Sam Klein led La Salle with two goals, but the team could not overcome the weather and their opponents.
