Mondiaux (marathon): Kiplangat décroche l'or.

Victor Kiplangat a remporté le marathon masculin aux Mondiaux d'athlétisme de Budapest. L'Ougandais a bouclé les 42,195 km en 2h08mn53s et termine loin devant l'Israélien Maru Teferi auteur d'un chrono de 2h09mn12s et l'Ethiopien Leul Gebresilase auteur d'un temps de 2h09mn19s. Kiplangat offre là, une 2e médaille d'or à son pays l'Ouganda après Cheptegei au 10 000 m.
