His journey took him to:
🔸Wolf’s Fang runway in Antarctica
🔸Cape Town, South Africa
🔸Perth, Australia
🔸Istanbul, Turkey (1 marathon on Europe side, 1 on Asia side)
🔸Cartagena, Colombia
🔸Miami, USA
Rogers - and 54 other runners - ran in extreme temperatures on little to no sleep.
The marathon in Antartica was run in a frigid -16 F.
The one in Colombia was run in 100 degree heat.
The one in Istanbul was run in freezing rain, in the middle of the night.
The runners got used to sleeping on plane rides, and sometimes had to run 26.2 miles on 1-2 hours of sleep.
But credit 71-year-old Mike Rogers for trying - and conquering - this absolutely insane challenge.
He's said that running has helped him reverse his pre-diabetes, as well as control his blood pressure and asthma.
The Great World Race is held every year, and costs $50,000 to enter. #marathon
