Fritz wins delayed match to reach third round

Two days after his match against France's Terence Atmane was postponed due to rain, world number seven Taylor Fritz finally advanced to the Shanghai Masters' third round on Monday. Fritz defeated 161st-ranked Atmane 7-6 (7/4), 7-6 (7/5), after resuming at 4-3 in the opening set.
Fritz stated, "I thought he played really well, and I definitely could have lost that match if I wasn't on top of my game."
