Cerundolo beats Ruud to give Team World early lead

Francisco Cerundolo gave Team World the early lead in the Laver Cup, defeating Casper Ruud of Team Europe 6-4, 6-4.
The 31-year-old Argentine recovered from five consecutive double faults to gain one point for his team in the men's indoor hard-court competition, which follows a structure similar to the Ryder Cup in golf.
Ruud, the ninth-ranked Norwegian, had twenty unintentional mistakes and only eleven winners.
