Alcaraz trumps Fritz in Europe’s 13-11 victory

Carlos Alcaraz, the four-time Grand Slam champion, defeated Taylor Fritz 6-2, 7-5 as Team Europe overcame Team World 13-11 to win the Laver Cup on Sunday.
In the eleventh game, Alcaraz broke Fritz, the runner-up at the U.S. Open, and sealed the title on serve. This set off celebrations in Berlin, where the Europe team was reunited with captain Bjorn Borg.
After leading 8–4 on points going into the last day of competition, Team World was the clear favorite to win the Laver Cup for a third consecutive year.
