Washburn University`s men`s tennis team, ranked No. 9, delivered a stunning performance, sweeping No. 7 UT Tyler in the semifinals. They triumphed over Case Western Reserve with a hard-fought 4-2 victory. Key to this success was Payiavlas, who delivered a crucial singles match win, defeating Salazar Garza 7-5, 6-3, leveling the match at two apiece before Denison seized control to claim the championship.

Meanwhile, Lubbock Christian University faced a tough end to their season, bowing out with a 4-0 semifinal loss to the top-seeded Valdosta State, marking the conclusion of their deepest run in program history.
