Bates College excelled at the CSA Divisional Team Championships, defeating Wesleyan and advancing to face St. Lawrence.

The 2025 CSA Divisional Team Championships commenced on March 1st at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, showcasing 41 teams in fierce competition. In the men`s Summer Cup quarterfinals, No. 23 Bates College triumphed over No. 26 Wesleyan with an impressive 8-1 victory, led by captain Alec Spiro`s pivotal 3-2 win at the top position. Bates is set to face No. 22 St. Lawrence in the semifinals.

No. 15 Franklin & Marshall also advanced, defeating No. 18 Amherst 7-2, and will clash with No. 19 Middlebury in the semifinals. Chatham University secured an 8-1 win against Hamilton College in the men`s Summer Cup quarterfinals, while the women`s side saw Chatham narrowly edge Hamilton 5-3 in the Walker Cup quarterfinal.

In the women`s Kurtz Cup division, No. 13 Amherst dominated No. 20 Bates with a commanding 9-0 win, advancing to meet No. 16 Middlebury in the semifinals. The tournament featured a mix of dominant performances and nail-biting matches, including several 5-4 thrillers. Notable results included Western Ontario`s 7-2 victory over the Naval Academy and Colby College`s narrow 5-4 win against MIT. The atmosphere was electric, with players and fans alike bringing tremendous energy to the venue. The championships continue on March 2nd with semifinal matches across various divisions.
