Marketa Vondrousova withdraws due to hand injury

Marketa Vondrousova, the silver medallist in tennis at the Tokyo Olympics, withdrew from the Paris Games on Monday due to a hand injury.

The 25-year-old Czech, who finished runner-up at the French Open in 2019 (held at Roland Garros, the same venue for tennis matches at these Summer Games), won Wimbledon the previous year despite not being ranked.
