Remo Stars defeated Kano Pillars 2-1, while Shooting Stars secured a 1-0 win over Bendel Insurance in the NPFL.

Remo Stars showcased their dominance in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a 2-1 victory against Kano Pillars on Match Day 23. Sikiru Alimi opened the scoring early, netting a goal just five minutes into the match after a brilliant cross from Segun Ogunribide. Ibrahim Abubakar extended the lead for Remo Stars in the 40th minute, capitalizing on a rebound from the Pillars goalkeeper. Although Abba Adam managed to pull one back for Kano Pillars with a header in first-half stoppage time, it wasn`t enough to alter the match`s outcome.

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) maintained their second position in the league standings with a narrow 1-0 win over Bendel Insurance FC. The decisive moment came from substitute Godwin Odibo, who scored in the 81st minute after seizing on a cleared ball and firing a low shot into the net. This victory solidified 3SC`s position with 40 points from 22 matches, keeping them eight points adrift of league leaders Remo Stars.

In another fixture, El-Kanemi Warriors secured a 1-0 win against Nasarawa United, with Umar Al Amin scoring the only goal just before the half-hour mark. The current league standings reflect Remo Stars` significant lead, while Shooting Stars hold a five-point advantage over third-placed Rivers United, who have 35 points. Upcoming fixtures include Rangers International visiting Bayelsa United and Abia Warriors hosting Sunshine Stars.
