Sainz to return in Melbourne after surgery

Carlos Sainz of Ferrari will make his return to the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne this weekend after recovering from appendix surgery.

The Spaniard did not compete in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this month, leaving 18-year-old Briton Oliver Bearman as a late replacement.

Bearman finished sixth in his debut in Jeddah, but he is expected to return to Formula 2 if Sainz is well again.
