Championship leader Oscar Piastri from McLaren dominated the sole practice session, finishing first, with Ferrari`s Charles Leclerc and Red Bull`s Max Verstappen following closely behind in second and third, respectively. However, the session was interrupted by a late red flag caused by Haas` Oliver Bearman, adding an element of drama to the proceedings.
The sprint race is set to take place at 4 PM local time (9 PM UK) on Saturday, May 3, followed by the main qualifying session at 9 PM UK time.
