Byron Leads as NASCAR Heads to Texas for Würth 400

William Byron leads the NASCAR standings as the Würth 400 approaches, with Chase Elliott defending his title at Texas.

The NASCAR Cup Series is set for an exciting showdown at the Würth 400 on May 4, 2025, at Texas Motor Speedway. With 38 drivers entered, including open-team entries 62 Jesse Love and 66 Chad Finchum, the race promises to be a thrilling event. Currently, William Byron leads the standings with 388 points, showcasing his dominance this season. Close behind are Kyle Larson with 356 points, Denny Hamlin at 335, and Chase Elliott, who sits fourth with 315 points.

Hendrick Motorsports has been a force to be reckoned with, achieving top-five finishes in all 10 races so far, including three instances where all four of their cars finished in the top-10. Chase Elliott, the defending race winner at Texas, has not finished outside the top-20 this season, adding to the anticipation of his performance. The 2025 season has already set records with 285 lead changes, 244 lead-lap finishers, and four last-lap passes for wins, indicating an incredibly competitive atmosphere.

Joey Logano, currently eighth in points with 286, has led an impressive 284 laps but is still seeking his first top-five finish of the season. Fans can catch the action live on FS1 at 3:30 PM ET, with practice and qualifying available on Amazon Prime the day before.
