His impressive performance saw him finish ahead of teammates Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, who secured second and third places respectively. The day began with light rain, which caused some teams to delay their practice sessions.

Max Verstappen expressed optimism regarding Red Bull`s 2025 challenger, emphasizing that it represents a significant upgrade over last year`s model. He confidently stated that the new car "can`t be worse than last year," hinting at the team`s ambitions for the upcoming season.

In British GT news, former GT4 champion Jack Mitchell is set to return to the series with Mahiki Racing, partnering with Lake in one of their Lotus entries.
