The 2025 F1 season features Hamilton at Ferrari, rookie drivers, and strategic shifts among top teams.

The 2025 Formula 1 season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, with significant changes among the top teams. The season kicks off with a special launch event, F1 75 Live, at The O2 Arena in London on February 18, 2025. This event will showcase all 20 drivers, including six rookies, and unveil the new car liveries for the season. Hosted by Jack Whitehall, the event will feature performances from Take That, Machine Gun Kelly, Kane Brown, and Brian Tyler.

Key lineup changes are set to shake up the competition. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will join Ferrari as Charles Leclerc`s new teammate, while rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli takes the wheel for Mercedes. Red Bull will see Liam Lawson partner with four-time champion Max Verstappen. Reigning constructors` champions McLaren have already revealed their 2025 car, which is expected to receive upgrades early in the season.

Carlos Sainz from Ferrari believes the team is primed for a title run, while McLaren`s Lando Norris aims to establish a championship lead to counter Verstappen`s aggressive driving. Ferrari`s team principal, Frederic Vasseur, has indicated that teams will reassess their strategies after the initial development round, focusing on their current cars if championship contention is viable. If a team falls behind, they may shift focus to the 2026 season.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix will also see a schedule adjustment, starting two hours earlier than in the previous year. Fans can catch the launch event streamed on F1`s YouTube channel and broadcast on Sky Sports in the UK and ESPN in the United States.
