North Carolina Women Claim ACC Championship

North Carolina women`s lacrosse wins ACC Championship, led by MVP Chloe Humphrey, while Navy advances in the Patriot League.

North Carolina`s women`s lacrosse team triumphed in the ACC Championship, defeating No. 2 Boston College 14-12. This victory marks the Tar Heels` eighth ACC title and their first since 2022, extending their unbeaten streak to an impressive 18 games. Boston College, now with a record of 17-2, fought valiantly but fell short in this thrilling contest.

Chloe Humphrey shone brightly for North Carolina, contributing five points with three goals and two assists, earning her the prestigious ACC Tournament MVP award. She was joined on the all-tournament team by her teammates Ashley Humphrey, Eliza Osburn, Ellie Traggio, and Betty Nelson, showcasing the depth and talent of the Tar Heels.

In another notable performance, the No. 21 Navy women`s lacrosse team advanced to the Patriot League Tournament Semifinals with a commanding 19-2 victory over Lehigh. Taylor Miles led the Navy team with a career-high seven points, which included her first collegiate hat trick and four assists, highlighting her exceptional skills on the field.

Meanwhile, the High Point University men`s lacrosse team is gearing up for a semifinal showdown against Saint Joseph`s in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, having secured the No. 2 seed.
