Johns Hopkins Dominates Ohio State in Women`s Lacrosse

Johns Hopkins defeated Ohio State 16-6 in women`s lacrosse, with Ava Angello leading the charge for the Blue Jays.

Johns Hopkins showcased their prowess in women`s lacrosse with a commanding 16-6 victory over Ohio State in a Big Ten matchup on April 10. The Blue Jays established an early lead, finishing the first quarter at 5-2 and extending it to 7-3 by halftime. Despite a spirited effort from Ohio State, who closed the gap to 8-5 entering the fourth quarter, Johns Hopkins responded with six unanswered goals to seal the win. Ava Angello was the standout performer for the Blue Jays, netting eight goals and contributing a total of 11 points. Zoe Coleman scored two goals for the Buckeyes in a valiant but ultimately unsuccessful effort.

In men`s lacrosse, the ACC is heating up with four teams ranked in the latest polls: Syracuse at No. 4, North Carolina at No. 7, Notre Dame at No. 9, and Duke at No. 12. Upcoming matchups include North Carolina taking on Duke and Syracuse facing off against No. 1 Cornell.

The No. 17 Brown women`s lacrosse team is set to compete against Dartmouth on April 12, following a solid 14-10 win over Bryant, improving their record to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in Ivy League play. Meanwhile, Rutgers women’s lacrosse faced a setback, losing to No. 22 USC with a score of 13-4, despite notable performances from Michelle Warren and Samantha Swanovich.
