North Carolina vs. Syracuse: A Top-Five Showdown

ACC Women’s Lacrosse features a thrilling top-five matchup between North Carolina and Syracuse on February 22.

Conference play kicks off in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women’s Lacrosse League on Saturday, February 22, featuring six exciting matchups, including four clashes between ranked teams. The marquee event of the day is the highly anticipated showdown between No. 2 North Carolina and No. 4 Syracuse at 11 a.m. ET in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, which will be broadcast live on ACC Network.

Other notable games include No. 14 Stanford visiting No. 7 Virginia at noon ET, No. 21 Duke facing off against No. 1 Boston College at 1 p.m. ET, and No. 19 Clemson taking on No. 11 Notre Dame at 8 p.m. ET. The ACC has made a strong start to the season, boasting a 30-7 record in the first ten days, including nine victories over ranked opponents.

In the latest IWLCA poll, Boston College holds the top spot, followed closely by North Carolina. Syracuse, Virginia, Notre Dame, Stanford, Clemson, and Duke round out the rankings, showcasing the depth of talent within the conference.

Meanwhile, in the Big South Conference, teams are still looking to establish their standings as they begin their seasons.
