Emporia State Gears Up for National Disc Golf Championships

Emporia State`s top-ranked disc golf teams prepare for the National Championships, featuring standout players Kruger and Joiner.

Emporia State University is set to showcase its elite disc golf talent at the Disc Golf Collegiate National Championships from April 2-5 at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The women`s team, currently ranked 1 nationally, features standout players Atlanta Kruger and Madeline Joiner, who are leading the charge as the top-ranked women`s duo. Kruger holds the title of the top-ranked female player, while Joiner is positioned sixth in the national rankings.

On the men`s side, Emporia State`s team is ranked 4, with TJ Reel representing the squad as their highest-ranked player at 13 nationally. The championship will kick off with practice rounds on Monday and Tuesday, followed by an Opening Celebration on Tuesday evening. The tournament promises an exciting format, including singles and team rounds for both men and women across various divisions.

Emporia State joins Texas A&M and UNC-Charlotte as the only institutions boasting four players ranked in the top 60 nationally, showcasing the depth of talent within their programs.
