Deian Roberts Dominates Manchester Regional Track League

Deian Roberts excelled at the Manchester Regional Track League, while Kevin Vauquelin triumphed in the Étoile de Bessèges.

Deian Roberts of Fibrax Fenwicks Wrexham Cycling Club showcased his exceptional talent at the Manchester Regional Track League, clinching victories in multiple events. His impressive performance included wins in the 20 Lap Scratch Race, 20 Lap Points Race, Elimination Race, and the 30 Lap Scratch Race, all in Group 1.

Ryan Oldfield from Halesowen A & CC also made headlines with a strong showing, securing victories in the 40 Lap Scratch Race, Elimination Race, 50 Lap Points Race, and the 64 Lap Scratch Race in Group 2. Thijs Geurts of Macclesfield Wheelers added to the excitement by winning the 6 Lap Scratch Race in Group 1 and achieving several top-four finishes. Meanwhile, Toby Tombs from Lee Valley Youth CC triumphed in the 6 Lap Scratch Race in Group 2 and earned second place in both the 50 Lap Points Race and the 64 Lap Scratch Race.

In road cycling, Kevin Vauquelin claimed a solo victory in the Queen Stage of the Étoile de Bessèges 2025, overcoming challenging weather conditions and a tough climb up Le Mont Bouquet. His win came after the breakaway was caught, with Groupama-FDJ and St Michel-Preference Home-Auber93 playing crucial roles in the final climb.

Elisa Longo Borghini took a commanding lead in the overall standings at the UAE Tour Women, while Lorena Wiebes won stage 2. Kim Cadzow made headlines in New Zealand by securing two national titles in just two days at the Road Championships.
