Mathieu van der Poel showcased his dominance at the Cyclo-cross World Championships, clinching his seventh elite men`s title. Zoe Bäckstedt also made headlines by successfully defending her women`s U23 title, solidifying her status as a rising star in the sport.

The GB team excelled in the relay race at the CX Worlds, with standout performances from Zoe Bäckstedt, Milo Wills, Zoe Roche, Oscar Amey, and Cat Ferguson, leading them to a World title. The British CycloCross Championships at Kent`s Cyclopark crowned champions including Cameron Mason, Xan Crees, Oscar Amey, and Zoe Roche, highlighting the depth of talent in British cycling. Kate Eedy and Lewis Craven also added to the championship accolades.

In road cycling, Mauro Schmid made a significant impact by winning the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race with a daring late solo attack. Meanwhile, Jayco-AlUla celebrated their first men’s trophy at the same event, marking a milestone for the team.

However, the cycling community faced disappointment with the cancellation of the Bretagne Ladies Tour`s 2025 edition due to a €37,000 funding gap. Despite initial optimism about securing teams and venues, the organizers struggled to meet the financial requirements, posing a setback for women`s cycling.

The Manchester Regional Track League continued to highlight the competitive spirit in British track cycling, with winners like Thijs Geurts, Sean McGovern, Albie Jones, Archie Fletcher, and Jenny Holl showcasing their skills.
