Abhishek Sharma`s stellar performance elevates him to No.2 in T20I rankings as India prepares for the ODI series against England.

India`s cricket team has made remarkable progress in the ICC T20I rankings following their impressive 4-1 series victory over England. Abhishek Sharma`s phenomenal performance in the fifth T20I, where he scored 135 runs off just 54 balls, propelled him to a career-high No.2 in the ICC T20I Batting Rankings. This extraordinary innings significantly boosted his rating from 549 to 829, placing him just behind Australia`s Travis Head, who leads with a rating of 855. Tilak Varma has dropped to No.3, while Suryakumar Yadav remains at No.5, ensuring India boasts three players in the top five.

In the bowling department, Varun Chakravarthy has also made headlines, climbing to joint-second in the T20I bowlers rankings after taking 14 wickets in the series, the highest by any player. He is now level with Adil Rashid, while Akeal Hosein holds the top spot. Ravi Bishnoi has moved up from 10th to 6th place after claiming four wickets in the last two matches of the series.

Looking ahead, India is gearing up for the ODI series against England, with the first match scheduled in Nagpur.
