Gloucestershire`s Bracey Shines in County Championship

Gloucestershire`s Bracey scored 151, while Kent`s Compton hit 144 in a thrilling County Championship match.

Gloucestershire posted a formidable first innings total of 472 runs against Kent in the Rothesay County Championship match at Canterbury. James Bracey led the charge with an impressive unbeaten 151, showcasing his batting prowess. Kent`s response on day two was commendable, as they reached 318 for seven at stumps, trailing by 154 runs. Ben Compton emerged as Kent`s star performer, scoring a fluent 144 not out, marking a significant milestone by surpassing 3,000 first-class runs for the county.

Grant Stewart added a valuable 51 runs before falling to Ollie Price in the final over. Despite Gloucestershire`s large total, Kent`s Nathan Gilchrist delivered a standout bowling performance, achieving career-best figures of seven for 100.
