India defeated Bangladesh by six wickets in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, led by Shubman Gill`s unbeaten century.

India secured a convincing six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the second match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, held in Dubai. After winning the toss, Bangladesh chose to bat first but faced a devastating collapse, finding themselves at 35/5 during the power play. Mohammed Shami was the standout bowler, claiming a remarkable five-wicket haul, while Harshit Rana and Axar Patel contributed with three and two wickets, respectively.

Despite the early setbacks, Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali mounted a resilient fightback, putting together a 154-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Hridoy scored a brilliant century, while Ali added 68 runs, helping Bangladesh reach a total of 228 all out in 49.4 overs.

In response, India began their chase with a solid opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, who added 69 runs. Although India lost a few wickets, Gill remained steadfast, ultimately scoring an unbeaten century. He was well-supported by KL Rahul, who contributed 41 not out. Their crucial 87-run partnership for the fifth wicket ensured India reached 232/4 with 21 balls to spare. This victory sets a positive tone for India in Group A as they prepare for their next match against Pakistan.
