Rooney appointed Plymouth Argyle head coach

Former England captain Wayne Rooney has joined Championship team Plymouth Argyle as head coach.

The 38-year-old replaces Ian Foster, who was fired on April 1st due to a string of unsatisfactory performance.

This is Rooney's first position since Birmingham City fired him on January 2nd, less than three months into his dismal tenure that saw him lose nine out of 15 games.
