Young Lionesses Gear Up for Germany and France Matches

England women`s under-23 and under-19 teams prepare for crucial matches against Germany, France, Spain, USA, and Netherlands.

England women`s under-23 head coach Emma Coates has announced a 25-player squad for upcoming matches against Germany and France. The Young Lionesses will face Germany at the Poundland Bescot Stadium on February 20 at 7:30 PM GMT, followed by a clash with France at Stevenage FC`s Lamex Stadium on February 25, also at 7:30 PM GMT. Key players in the squad include goalkeepers Eleanor Heeps and Naomi Williams, defenders Anouk Denton and Lucy Parry, midfielders Ashanti Akpan and Ruby Grant, and forwards Michelle Agyemang and Katie Robinson. Coates expressed enthusiasm for the matches, emphasizing the chance for players to engage with fans across the country.

Simultaneously, England women`s under-19 head coach Lauren Smith has selected a 24-strong squad for the Albir Garden Tournament in Spain, where they will compete against Spain, the USA, and the Netherlands. The Young Lionesses will kick off their campaign against reigning UEFA Women’s U19 EURO champions Spain on February 20 at 11 AM GMT, followed by a match against the USA on February 23 at 3 PM GMT, and concluding with a game against the Netherlands on February 26 at 11 AM GMT. This tournament serves as vital preparation for the final qualifying round for this summer`s competition.
